Sydney Hessel (b.1990) is an artist and technology researcher from the Bay Area.

Her work is deeply rooted in an appreciation for histories of social justice and design. Each piece is made joyfully from hand, often representing internal conversations centered around nature, emotional vulnerability, and animal existence.

Her dual passions for creativity and analytical rigor have brought her to work with institutions like Google, WolfBrown, and the Brooklyn Museum.

She is currently painting and researching from San Jose, CA.
